Charlie's Recos is an app that allows users to save, share, and discover recommendations for places like restaurants, hotels, and attractions.
2. Data We Collect
- Account data: Email address and authentication information
- User content: Recommendations, comments, ratings, and photos you upload
- Location data: Only when using location features
- Contacts (optional): Only with explicit consent for friend search
- Usage data: Basic analytics to improve features
3. How We Use Data
- Providing and operating the app
- Enabling social features like sharing and recommendations
- Storing and displaying uploaded photos
- Improving app quality and performance
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Information is only shared with other users according to your visibility settings.
5. Data Storage
Data is stored securely via trusted third-party infrastructure (e.g. Firebase / Google Cloud).
6. Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time:
All personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of the request.

You have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time.
8. Cookies & Tracking
This website only loads Google Analytics and Travelpayouts Drive (see below) after you explicitly consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit — neither loads before that. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change your decision at any time: Change cookie settings.

Travelpayouts Drive (affiliate links): A script from the travel affiliate network Travelpayouts. It automatically detects links to certain travel providers (e.g. hotels, activities) and replaces them with partner links, through which we earn a commission on successful bookings — this doesn't change the price for you.
Recipients: Google or Travelpayouts, and — for Travelpayouts Drive — the respective booking provider once a partner link is clicked. This may involve a data transfer outside the EU/EEA (including the US).
Retention: Google Analytics sets cookies for up to 14 months; Travelpayouts Drive sets cookies to attribute a booking to a click for a period defined by Travelpayouts (typically a few days to a few weeks).
